More than just an instrumental album, Radio is a concept-driven exploration of media, meaning, and memory. Originally released on February 24, 2009, this marks the first ever vinyl reissue, arriving nearly 17 years later as a definitive return to one of Exile’s most celebrated statements.
Built from snippets of live AM and FM broadcasts, Exile sculpts radio waves into a sonic masterclass, flipping talk radio, call-ins, and late night paranoia into the album’s backbone. Anchored by Exile’s signature drum swing and soulful chops, each track lands fully formed, with transitions and recurring motifs that keep the world of Radio dialed in.
This collector’s edition 2XLP is housed in a premium 24pt direct to board jacket featuring an overhauled layout designed by Frank DeMaria, with audio newly remastered by D-Sane for Digital Age Sound. The tracklist is also enhanced with bonus material drawn from Exile’s 2010 companion project, AM/FM. Highlights include “Love Line” featuring Blu, remixes by Knxwledge and Samiyam, and the vocal version of “It’s Coming Down” featuring The Alchemist and Evidence.
Pressed on Static Grey vinyl, this edition is limited to 200 copies worldwide and includes a hand-numbered hype-sticker designed by Jelle Smid. Only 50 copies available through Dirty Science Records.
Please Note: All orders are now shipping. Records are housed in crystal clear protective outer sleeves, secured with bubble wrap and insert pads, and shipped in Whiplash LP mailers.
